Stand In the Light was written during the race riots in Los Angeles in the ’90s. It is meant to remind us: every human being is made in the image of God and therefore has immeasurable, intrinsic value. While wondrously diverse in personality and color and culture, we are equal in the eyes of God. Followers of Jesus are meant to reflect that reality in our actions, and from our hearts.
